Shaun had just lost his father to the war
and he is still learning to deal with it. One day when he was in school a bully
starts teasing him about his father and Shaun starts violently hitting him,
which results to Shaun going home with a black eye.
On his way home Shaun meets a group of boys,
they ask him about the black eye and Shaun tells the boys what happened in
school. Woody the leader of the group begins to feel sorry for him and takes
Shaun into their group.
Soon Shaun begins to dress like them and
act like them, they make Shaun feel at home.
Combo a previous member in the group who
has just returned from prison tries to take over the group. Combo makes the
guys choose between him and woody, and a few of the guys including Shaun decide
to stay with Combo.
Throughout the movie Combo shows interest
towards woody’s girlfriend and when Combo finally came clean about his feelings
towards her, she rejects him leaving Combo sad and heartbroken.
To make him self-feel better Combo decides
to buy drugs from Milky. Combo and Milky start talking about their family and
childhood. When Milky talks about his family Combo starts beating Milky out of
jealousy, which leads to Milky being in a Coma. Shaun who witnessed the whole
thing goes home horrified.
The movie ends with an angry Shaun throwing
away Combos gift in the beach.
